The Long List of Morally Challenged Liberals
Far from being a winner, perennial whiner Anthony Weiner was apparently doing a lot more than just railing against ‘what makes us great’ in this country while representing the 9th Congressional District of New York. His X-rated escapades on the internet make toe-tapping in the rest room and emailing pages pale in comparison.
Weiner has brought shame to his family, his country and the Congressional seat he occupies. Rather than resign from his position of power, the appropriately named Weiner has apparently decided to ‘stick it out’ for the remainder of his term. Sorry about that, but those of us who love this country are having a field day with this one.
Weiner joins a long list of morally challenged liberals who have held significant positions of power in the United States, including, but not limited to the following individuals:
President Franklin D. Roosevelt
President John F. Kennedy
President Lyndon B. Johnson
Senator Robert F. Kennedy, New York
Senator Ted Kennedy, Massachusetts
Senator Gary Hart, Colorado
Impeached President Bill Clinton
Senator John Edwards, North Carolina
Governor Eliot Spitzer, New York
Governor Arnold Swarzenegger, California
The few Republicans who have been unfaithful to their wives, like Governor Mark Sanford of South Carolina and Senator John Ensign of Nevada, have at least had the decency to resign. Because Republicans and conservatives in general hold traditional family values dear, it is only proper that they hold themselves to a higher standard than their liberal counterparts.
Note: Considering the way the ‘congressman’ spells his last name, it should actually be pronounced as if it rhymes with ‘whiner’. To pronounce it as in ‘hot dog’ it should be spelled wiener. It is curious that he chose to pronounce it as he does.
